About the qualification
The Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate is a postgraduate-level qualification delivered in partnership between Cardiff University Law School and Bond Solon, the UK’s leading provider of expert witness training. It is widely recognised across the legal profession as evidence of a practitioner’s commitment to the highest standards of expert witness practice.
The programme covers:
- The legal framework governing expert witnesses in civil proceedings
- The duties and obligations of an expert witness under CPR Part 35
- Report writing to meet the standards required by the courts
- Preparation for court attendance, cross-examination and oral evidence
- Professional ethics and independence in expert witness practice
Expert witness services
Ms Razo now provides medico-legal reports and expert witness services for cases involving injuries and conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Her reports are prepared in accordance with Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules and the associated Practice Direction, reflecting her overriding duty to the court.
She accepts instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors, as well as from insurers and case managers, across Northern Ireland and the wider United Kingdom.
Her clinical expertise as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), the highest specialist qualification in Hand Therapy, ensures that her expert opinions are grounded in the deepest available specialist knowledge of upper limb assessment and rehabilitation.
