Hand Therapy
for Athletes
From professional sportspeople to club-level competitors and recreational athletes. If a hand, wrist, elbow or shoulder injury is keeping you from your sport, specialist Hand Therapy can get you back.
Treating athletes
at every level
Upper limb injuries are among the most common in sport. Whether it is a golfer with elbow pain, a rugby player with a hand fracture or a cyclist with persistent wrist problems, the demands of sport require a clinician who understands how injury affects performance and what it takes to return safely.
Ms Razo is a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with extensive experience across professional, club and recreational sport. Teams, coaches and other healthcare professionals refer athletes to her regularly.

Back to training.
Back to competition.
Athlete rehabilitation is built around one goal: a safe, timely return to full sport. Every element of treatment is designed with that outcome in mind.
Every assessment starts with your sport. The demands of your position, discipline and training load shape the clinical picture and determine what recovery actually looks like for you.

Getting back to training and competition safely is the goal. Structured return-to-sport programmes progress in line with healing, sport demands and upcoming fixtures or competition dates.
Where X-ray, MRI, ultrasound or CT is required, referrals to private imaging centres can be arranged with appointments often available within 24 to 48 hours.
Custom splints and supportive orthoses can allow you to continue training or competing while protecting an injured structure. Thermoplastic splints are fabricated and fitted in clinic as part of a broader rehabilitation plan.
Appointments are available in clinic, via secure video or as a home visit. Virtual appointments are particularly well suited to athletes who are travelling, in camp or away from Belfast.

Athletes are referred by sports teams, clubs, coaches, physiotherapists and doctors who recognise the value of specialist upper limb expertise. Many also come directly having sought out specialist care for a persistent or complex injury that has not responded to more general treatment.
If you are a physiotherapist, sports medicine doctor or club medic looking to refer an athlete, please contact the clinic directly. Fast appointments and clear communication throughout the rehabilitation process come as standard.
